The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program that helps cover dental care for eligible families in Canada.

If you don’t have other dental insurance and your adjusted family net income is under $90,000/year, you may qualify.

Basic Services

  • Dental exams
  • X-rays
  • Teeth cleaning (scaling)
  • Fluoride treatments
  • Sealants
  • Composite fillings
  • Root canal treatments
  • Tooth extractions (including wisdom teeth and broken roots)

Major Services

  • Crowns
  • Complete dentures
  • Partial dentures

Orthodontics

  • Not covered yet.
  • Starting in 2025, orthodontic treatment will be available only for medically necessary cases based on strict criteria, with a maximum spending limit.
